The "1st International Congress of Family and Society Studies: Holistic Approaches to Aging" Congress will be held in three different congress areas, hosted by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, where scientific activities are integrated with historical and contemporary venues.
The "1st International Congress of Family and Society Studies: Holistic Approaches to Aging" Congress will begin with a special walk that brings together historical and academic venues with a meaningful beginning. This program, which values spatial memory as much as scientific content, offers participants the opportunity for an intellectual journey within the cultural richness of Tokat.
The first day of the congress will begin with a gathering and welcoming ceremony to be held in front of the Yağıbasan Madrasa, which has survived from the Seljuk period to the present day. From here, with the slogan "900 Years of History in 900 Steps", our participants will take a short and meaningful walk towards Gök Madrasa, feeling the historical texture of Tokat.
Tokat Gök Madrasa, one of the original examples of Seljuk architecture, will host the opening ceremony of the congress. Enriched with opening speeches, addresses of invited speakers and visual-symbolic content, this session will represent the cultural depth of a scientific congress.
After the opening program, the congress sessions will continue at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University 15 Temmuz Congress and Culture Center. Located in Taşlıçiftlik Campus, this center offers a qualified environment suitable for scientific presentations, panel sessions and academic interaction with its modern technical equipment and multi-purpose halls.

TOKAT GÖK MEDRASE
Tokat Gök Medrese is an important cultural heritage structure dating back to the 13th century, considered to be one of the rare examples of Anatolian Seljuk architecture. The madrasa, which is considered to have been built in 1277 by Mu'inüddin Pervane, one of the Anatolian Seljuk viziers, takes its name from its turquoise (sky) colored dome, especially decorated with tiles.
The structure, which has a four-iwan covered courtyard plan type, is an original example reflecting the artistic understanding of its period with its stonework, decorations and crown gate. Gök Medrese, which has hosted both religious and scientific education for centuries, is a multi-purpose venue used for cultural events, exhibitions and academic meetings today.
Located in the city center of Tokat, Gök Medrese is an important center of attraction for both local and foreign visitors with its historical texture. At the same time, it has become the meeting point of scientific knowledge and historical heritage thanks to the fact that it hosts academic organizations.

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University is a transparent, participatory, entrepreneurial, knowledge and technology producing, contributing to the economic, social and cultural structure of the region and a preferred university.
Our University, named after the Hero of Plevne, Gazi Osman Pasha, was established in accordance with the Law No. 2809 on the Amendment and Acceptance of the Decree Law No. 41 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions and Article 24 of the Law No. 3837 dated 03.07.1992 on Amendments to the Decree Laws No. 78 and 190. In accordance with the Law No. 7141 "Amending the Higher Education Law and Certain Laws and Decree Laws" that entered into force on May 18, 2018, the name of our University was changed to "Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University".
Our university, which was first established on 01.11.1992 under the auspices of Cumhuriyet University, incorporated the Faculty of Agriculture and Arts, Niksar Vocational School, Tokat Vocational School, Zile Vocational School, Erbaa Institute of Science and Social Sciences.
Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University continues its activities in Taşlıçiftlik Campus, which is located on the Tokat-Turhal highway, 9 km from the city center of Tokat, in the Ali Şevki Erek Campus in the city center and in 8 districts.
In our university, in the order of establishment, there are the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Erbaa Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Erbaa Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences and Niksar Faculty of Applied Sciences. Our university has a Graduate Education Institute for postgraduate education. Education and training continue in Foreign Languages College, Zile Dinçerler Tourism Management and Hotel Management College, State Conservatory, Justice Vocational School, Almus Vocational School, Artova Vocational School, Erbaa Vocational School, Erbaa Health Services Vocational School, Pazar Vocational School, Niksar Vocational School, Reşadiye Vocational School, Tokat Vocational School, Tokat Health Services Vocational School, Turhal Vocational School, Zile Vocational School, Turhal Health Services Vocational Schools.
Health services in our university are carried out by the Health Research and Application Center, Dentistry Application and Research Center and Palliative Care Research and Application Center. The Agricultural Research and Application Center also undertakes important duties in the field of agriculture with education, research and service applications.
As of the education and training period, we have nearly 35 thousand students. Education and training continue in 120 associate degree, 79 undergraduate, 85 graduate and 37 doctoral programs. Our academic staff is 1533, and our administrative staff is 2055. The academic year at our university consists of two semesters. Our Taşlıçiftlik campus includes the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Institute of Postgraduate Education, State Conservatory, School of Foreign Languages, Tokat Vocational School and Research and Application centers. In the Ali Şevki Erek Campus in the city center; the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Health Research and Application Center, Dentistry Application and Research Center are located. Our Faculties and Vocational Schools located in the districts have campuses.

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University July 15 Congress and Culture Center is a modern congress center located within the Taşlıçiftlik Campus of the university and stands out as one of the most comprehensive multi-purpose event structures in the region. With its institutional structure and physical capacity, the center, which allows for the organization of both academic and cultural events, operates as one of the university's public faces.
The center takes its name from July 15, one of the symbolic dates of the Republic of Turkey's struggle for democracy, and in this respect, it also refers to the national memory. The congress center offers an ideal environment for international congresses, scientific meetings, panels and symposiums with its multi-purpose halls, conference rooms, foyer areas and technical infrastructure.The main hall, designed especially for large-scale academic events, has high standards in terms of sound-acoustic arrangement, stage technology and seating capacity. In addition, the auxiliary halls within the center are structured to allow for simultaneous sessions, workshops and artistic performances.
